Our house is only half the building, the bit on the right. The whole building was connected to the main sewer via the next door sewer point. This can lead to problems if anything goes wrong, so it is desirable to have our own connection point. Because the garage covers the whole of the back of the block, the only chance we get to connect to the proper point is before pouring the slab.
